“The place to simply relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.”

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Monday to Thursday stay at Old Summer House! Indoors, it was very clean (super important to us!) and comfortable with lots of space both downstairs in the full kitchen/living/dining area as well as upstairs in the bedroom/bathroom. It’s nicely decorated with a combination of modern and historic appeal. Attached to the original farmhouse and set back on the property, it’s an exceptionally peaceful location with lots of privacy. What really sets Old Summer House apart, though, from other vacation homes is the park-like setting. It’s gorgeous! From the beautifully landscaped lawn and gardens to the man-made pond ideal for swimming to the enclosed gazebo, this is the place to simply relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. And when you’re ready to shop, eat or take in the sights, Old Summer House is centrally located with easy access to most tourist attractions. We absolutely loved our stay at Old Summer House!

“Lovely Home”

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. The upstairs bed is super comfortable! We didn’t use the others though we laid on the sofa bed. Appreciate your hospitality-We will be back

“Peaceful and Charming!”

My husband, son and myself recently spent a night at the Old Summer House. The farm is so peaceful and quiet. There is a really nice man-made pond you can swim in or just sit by, (there are chairs to relax in). Chickens from which you can collect eggs and a sweet little miniature horse. The main house and guest house are historic (1839) and very cool. The decor is cute and homey, there were even fresh flowers on the table. The owner was friendly and available without being intrusive Highly recommended! (P.S. the bed was very comfortable.)

“We love the setting.”

This is our second stay here and we love the setting for its authenticity and tucked away feeling. The clip clip of horse and buggies passing by is lovely and the hosts are so friendly yet not intrusive. Our kids love the pedal carts, swing and playhouse!

This location allowed us to explore several areas (Strasburg, Intercourse, Hershey, etc) from a good base.

Be sure to visit Lapp's Dairy down the road in New Holland, super fun for the kids and if you go about 4-5:30 range you can watch the milking.

Thanks for everything, Mr. & Mrs. Stoner

"First stay here, but in no way our last."

“So sweet!”

This Summer House is so sweet! We would've loved to stay longer, but could only come for the weekend. This place will be nice to visit again when the weather is warm. The House had everything we needed.

“Perfect for all ages.”

A multi-generation girls' week was a resounding success thanks to a stay at the Old Summer House. The 5 & 8 year olds loved the play house, egg gathering, the carts, Thunder the horse and Roxie the dog, and finally became brave enough to go swimming in the pond. Their mama and great-aunt loved the area and ease of access to quilt shops and many kid-friendly attractions. Karen's gracious hospitality and care was exemplary. And the last evening, it was the low-flying balloon overhead and numerous fireflies that capped our time away. And, we realized at the last minute, we never turned on the TV!
